Word has been received with the passing of retired DL Flight
Controller Mr. James William Mulhall Sr., age 71.
Jim joined Delta Air Lines in October 1968 and spent much of
his career working in Atlanta. He retired January 1995 as Manager-Flight
Control in Russia, based SVO/085.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow March 9th, at 3:00
pm in the chapel of the J. Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home located at 1011 Topaz Lane ,
Villa Rica GA 30180. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 prior to the
service.

Obituary:
James William Mulhall, Sr., 71, of Villa Rica, died Friday,
March 7, 2014, at his residence.
He was born in Utica, New York on September 6, 1942, the son
of the late William Patrick Mulhall and the late Ruth Bohner Mulhall. He served
in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He attended Miami Dade
College and received an Associate Degree in the Arts. He retired from Delta
Airlines with twenty-four years of service. He moved from Krasnodar, Russia to
this area in 2005 and attended the Russian Orthodox Church in Roswell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his
first wife, Janet Mulhall.
Survivors include his wife, Elena Mulhall of Villa Rica; his
children, Wendy Colangelo (Ken) of Toronto, Canada, James Mulhall, Jr. (Jill) of
Tyrone, GA, Shaun Mulhall (Jennifer) of Cumming, Bonni Durden (Kip) of Newnan,
Kari Jarrett (Kevin) of Carrollton, Ekaterina Serdechkina and Valentin
Serdechkin, both of Krasnodar, Russia; two sisters, Pam Midura (Edmund) of
Maryland and Gail Earling of Florida; three brothers, Gregory Mulhall (Ann) and
Kevin Mulhall (Sue) all of Florida and Steven Mulhall (Sonia) of Panama; ten
grandchildren, Brittani Scarbrough, Zachary Scarbrough, Danielle Colangelo,
Mason Durden, Anna Durden, Sawyer Durden, Jackson Mulhall, Emerson Mulhall,
Ethan Jarrett and Eli Jarrett; and a number of nieces, nephews and other
relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 9, 2014, at
3:00 P.M. from the chapel of the J. Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Shannon
Lovelady officiating and the eulogy by Shaun Mulhall. Music will be provided by
Dwayne Hicks. Military honors and the flag presentation will be conducted by the
Honor Guard Team of American Legion Post 143, Carrollton.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday,
March 9, 2014, from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
In accordance with his wishes, the body will be cremated
following the funeral service.
Flowers will be accepted, but it should be live plants or
arrangements that the family can take home and enjoy.
