Captain John Jerald Mason Jr., age 81. Captain Mason joined Delta Air Lines
03-05-1956 and retired in September 1989, based Atlanta.

John J. Mason of Panama City Beach went
home to be with the Lord October 2, 2010 at the Northwest Florida Community
Hospital surrounded by a host of family that dearly loved him. John was born in
Columbia, SC. He had lived in Panama City Beach since 1980 coming from Atlanta,
Ga. He was a pilot for Delta Airlines and served in the United States Marines.
He is survived by his wife Faye Joyner Mason of Panama City Beach; son Michael
Mason of Maine.; three brothers : Jerry Mason (Betty), Don Mason (Ruth) and Ray
Mason all of Columbia, SC; three grandchildren: Max, Elle and Paige Mason all of
Maine; two step sons: Greg Myers (Loisha) of Wausau, Fl and Garrett Myers of
Panama City, Fl.; mother-in-law: Irma Joyner Haddock (Wilton) of Chipley;
brother-in-law: Larry Joyner (Linda) of Chipley; sister-in-law: Wanda Boyett
Berry (Jim) of Chipley; Graveside funeral services will be held 10AM Tuesday
October 5, 2010 at Bonnett Pond Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Young officiating.
Family will receive friends 6-8PM Monday October 4, 2010 at Obert Funeral Home.
Obert Funeral Home of Chipley in charge of arrangements.
