___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

Obituary & evite  : To fly West, my friend, is a flight we all must take for a final check. Jason has flown West at the age of 47 on March 6, 2022, after a battle with cancer.

Jason is survived by his wife Kerri (Chambers); his son Cameron (12 yoa); his parents Joseph Lounsbury and Donna Lounsbury, and his sister Melissa Osher.

Jason was born in Lincoln Maine January 20, 1975. He had a dream of flight and passion for airplanes. Jason graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University

Class of 1997. He began his career at Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA), in 1997 becoming an accomplished Captain. In 2007, Jason left ASA for Delta Air Lines,

becoming a 767 First Officer and recently an Airbus 220 Captain. Along the way, Jason enjoyed time with his family and friends. He was so incredibly proud of

watching Cameron excel in baseball. He also loved to catch a Nascar Race and had a passion for sailing in the BVI's. Most of all, Jason touched the lives of many, with

a smile and a witty sense of humor. He will truly be missed by family, friends and all the lives he touched. He will forever be in our hearts. Fair winds and following seas our friend.

With the help of donations, we hope to establish a college fund for Cameron.
