WA/DL Capt. Darwin L. Kellogg

~ IN MEMORY ~
CAPT. DARWIN L. KELLOGG
03-31-1935 ~ 06-21-2012

I have not seen an obituary to date but I believe Capt. Darwin L. Kellogg was an Air Force veteran, worked for Wien Airlines and was a bush pilot up in Fairbanks area prior to joining Western 03-27-1967.  Capt Kellogg was based BOS prior to retirement with Delta.  I believe son Ward is a pilot for Alaska Airlines.
I am unaware of services.  Captain Kellogg is survived by his wife Martha ‘Marti’.  Personal condolences may be sent to the family at
14403 24th Ave SW , Burien, WA 98166-1012  ...  (206) 433-9991
If more information becomes available we will be sure to pass it along.
Thank you,
~Carol

I'm Ward Kellogg, Darwin's son. I'm going through his email to ensure everyone is informed about my dad passing away.

He has been battling a weakened heart and also came down with pneumonia this last week. He sounded great when I talked to him on the phone on Wednesday night and I was hopeful he was on his way to a full recovery. Unfortunately, the combination proved too much for his heart and he was found unconscious by Marti when she returned home from some errands.

Marti performed CPR and called the paramedics, who arrived shortly. They worked diligently on him, but after over an hour, he was pronounced dead at Highline hospital.

Thanks for passing this on and spreading the word.

He was in good spirits and was happy with his life. What more can we ask for?

Sincerely,
Ward
