Belated notification with the passing of Marine Corps Major NWA/DL pilot Richard McMahon Thomas, age 56.  Major Thomas joined Northwest Airlines  7/6/1990.  As of October 2008 and the merger he was flying FO757 for Delta Air Lines, based MSP.  The online death notice may still be viewed at

Richard "Dick" Thomas, 56, of Kailua, a Marine Corps major and Delta Airlines pilot, died in Kailua. He was born in Massachusetts. He is survived by wife Kathleen, daughters Jacqueline and Katie, mother Helen Novack and sister Cathy. Inurnment: 9:30 a.m. Friday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.
