November 23, 1928 ~ March 2, 2014
Belated notification with the passing of Navy veteran retired
RC/NWA pilot Captain Robert Glenn Pipkin Jr., age 85. From what I could find,
Captain Pipkin may have first joined Southern Airways, made the merger with
Republic, and perhaps retired before actually flying for Northwest but my
resources are limited.

Carolina.

PIPKIN, Robert 85, of Tampa, passed away on March 2, 2014. He
had been a Naval Test Pilot, Navy Commander, commercial airline pilot, a
Director of Flight Training, and an FAA Flight Inspector. Survived by his wife,
Jeannette; daughters, Phyllis and Holly of Atlanta; and 6 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held in April with burial in North Carolina. In lieu
