NWA Capt. Edward R. ADAMEK Jr.
August 23, 1920 - November 10, 2014
 
Notification with the passing of retired NWA pilot Captain Edward Richard Adamek Jr., age 94. 
Captain Adamek joined Northwest Airlines 09-01-1949 and retired at the mandatory age 60 in 1980. 
He was widowed in May of 2013 with the passing of his wife Eleanore. 
Captain Adamek had most recently resided at 
8131 4th St. N  , Oakdale  MN 55128-7078

Edward R. ADAMEK , Beloved Father
Preceded in death by wife Eleanore, parents Edward & Jeanette Adamaek & brother Ted Adamek. Survived by son Donald (Jacqueline) Adamek and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services 11:30 AM Thursday Nov. 13 at Hazel Park UCC 1831 E. Minnehaha Ave. St. Paul.
Interment Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation 10-11:30 AM at the church prior to the service.
Retired Northwest Airlines Pilot after 30 years.

         ADAMEK Eleanore M., Beloved Wife, Mother
        December 15, 1925 - May 2, 2013

Preceded in death by parents Andrew & Mary Boratko, brother Andre Boratko, sisters Emma Esch & Ruth Runyon. Survived by husband Edward & son Donald (Jaci). Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Funeral Services 11 AM Tues. May 7 at Hazel Park UCC 1831 Minnehaha Ave. E. St. Paul. Interment Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Visitation 4-8:30 PM Monday at Maple Oaks Funeral Home 2585 Stillwater Rd. Maplewood and at the church 1 hr. prior to the service. Eleanore was a longtime organist/pianist at Hazel Park UCC. She was a friend to all, a wonderful cook, seamstress & a wonderful wife & mother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
