WA/DL Captain James William Kirk

WA/DL Capt. James W. Kirk

March 13, 1931 ~ May 21, 2015

 

Friends have contacted us with this news that retired WA/DL pilot Captain James William Kirk has passed away.  I believe Captain Kirk was born/raised in New Jersey.  After completing his schooling and military service, he joined Western Airlines 06-22-1959.  Captain Kirk retired with Delta Air Lines in 1991.  I believe he was based Los Angeles for most if not all of his commercial airline career.

However, friends write that he had been living in Fern Glade TN most recently.   

Our information is limited and arrangements are not yet known.  Should we receive more information we will be sure to pass it along.
