As noted in the recent Air Line Pilot magazine's In Memoriam column, belated notification with the passing of RNPA member retired NWA pilot Captain George Duaine Solomon, age 83.  Capt. Solomon originally hired on as a steward with Empire Airlines 06-29-1950.  He was Chief Pilot based SEA for a number of years.  He made the various mergers with West Coast Airlines and retired with Hughes Airwest by 1980.  ALPA listing:   Solomon, George D.    Captain in Mar *2015 Aug-15 A

George Duaine Solomon was the son of early Empire/West Coast pilot & Chief Pilot Capt. George John Solomon Sr. (hire date 06-11-1945, DOB 03-09-1910, date of death 09-19-1998).

Married August 2, 1953, Capt. George Duaine Solomon was widowed in December 2013 with the passing of his wife Diane.  The Solomons had most recently resided in Normandy Park, Washington.
Burial site:  Washington Memorial Park , SeaTac  WA.
