Word with the passing of Delta Golden Wings member retired pilot Captain Lee English has reached our group.  Captain English joined Delta Air Lines 09-04-1962 and was based Atlanta.  Services for Captain English will be held tomorrow January 26th at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home, Macland Chapel, located in Powder Springs, Georgia.

This is the son of Lee English. Lee left a list of people that he wished for us to contact in the event of his death. Lee passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning after battling COPD for many years. Below is his obituary.

Warren Lee English, Sr., 77, of Dallas, GA, died on Saturday, January 23, 2016.  The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home & Crematory Macland Chapel in Powder Springs.
 
Mr. English is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret English; his daughter Betty English Arnold (John), in Africa; two sons, Warren L. English (Vanessa) of Dallas, GA,  John Carlton English (Cheryl) of Jemison, AL; two sisters, Martha McLeod (Eddie) of Albany, GA, Ruth Royal (Steve) of Albany, GA; one brother, Robert L. English (Doris) of Dallas, GA; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
 
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday.
