Word has been received with the passing of retired Delta pilot Captain Kenneth Robert Nelson, age 74.  Captain Nelson joined Delta Air Lines 09-12-1969 and was based DFW & ATL.  He retired in 2002 based 031/ATL.  Captain Nelson is survived by his wife retired Delta F/A Eileen Nelson.  Personal condolences may be sent to the family at

Passing of Retired Captain Ken Nelson   
5/20 ... After a long battle with leukemia and a fulfilled dream of vacationing one last time to Hawaii, retired DFW Captain Ken Nelson (husband of retired DFW/ATL F/A Eileen) passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, May 20th, with his family at his side.  Arrangements are pending, but a graveside service is tentatively set for later in June.
