DL Capt. James R. DeLuca

The DeLuca family has contacted us and wish for us to re-post the news that retired Delta Captain Jim DeLuca, age 68, has died as a result of a tragic traffic accident on August 30th.  Captain DeLuca joined Delta Air Lines 05-09-1977 and was based ATL/030.  To date an online obituary/guestbook is not available, but soon we will post an email address for personal condolences.
Services for Capt. DeLuca will be held tomorrow Friday, September 23rd at 1:30 PM,

Marietta man dies in Tuesday motorcycle wreck   ....  Staff reports Aug 31, 2016 

A 68-year-old Marietta man died in a motorcycle wreck Tuesday, Cobb police said.

James Deluca, 68, died Tuesday shortly after being sent to WellStar Kennestone Hospital by ambulance after his motorcycle was struck by a car at the intersection of Sandy Plains Road at Holly Springs Road, said Cobb Police spokesperson Sgt. Dana Pierce.

Pierce said the Honda Gold Wing motorcycle was heading northbound on Sandy Plains Road when a Toyota Camry hit the motorcycle while attempting to turn left on Holly Springs Road.

He said police investigators are expecting charges to be filed against the 16-year-old female driver of the Camry.
