USAF veteran, DL Capt. Roger Allen Wert

June 10, 1932 ~ January 26, 2017

 

Notification with the passing of Delta Golden Wings member retired Delta pilot Captain Roger Allen Wert, age 84.  Captain Wert joined Delta Air Lines 11-10-1958 and retired with Delta in 1992, based Atlanta.  He is survived by his wife Nitale and their children.

Roger Wert...............FAIRBURN, GA. - Mr. Roger Allen Wert of Griffin passed away on January 25, 2017. Mr. Wert was a retired Captain with Delta Air Lines and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Wert was the son of the late Herbert Lee and Mary Mable Wert. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Nitale Pence Wert; daughter, Kristin Wert Habowski of Williamson, GA; son, Gary Alan Wert and his wife, Kathy of Cumming, GA; grandson, Logan Alan Wert of Cumming. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Peachtree City Christian Church with Dr. George Dillard officiating. Interment services will follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Those wishing may send an online condolence at www.parrottfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Peachtree City Christian Church for Guatemalan Relief Project, 500 Kedron Drive, Peachtree City, GA 30269.
