Robert "Bob" Barrett was the husband of Mary Palmour Barrett, retired InFlight Services Supervisor, ATL.
 
BARRETT, Robert Emmett, 81, of Gainesville, FL, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, entered into eternal peace in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 9, 2017. Born January 2, 1936, in St. Louis, MO, Bob was the son of the late Senator John Patrick “Jack” Barrett and Dolores “Dee” Miller Barrett. Bob was founder and president of Physicians Data Financial Services with offices in Atlanta, Memphis and St. Louis. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Mary Palmour Barrett; his daughter, Laurel Barrett, of Santa Fe, NM and his son, Robert Emmett Barrett, II, of Miami, FL; his grandchildren, Brendon, Benjamin and Kaitlin Barrett; his sisters, Connie (Pete) Leach, of St. Louis, MO and Mary (David) Siebert, of Naples, FL; sister-in-law, Jane Palmour Hutson, of Greensboro, NC; brother-in-law, John Palmour, of Gainesville, FL; and many  nieces and nephews.  A commemorative Mass and separate reception will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob’s memory are suggested to Haven Hospice,  4200 NW 90th Blvd.,  Gainesville, FL 32606; Holy Family Catholic Church, 3401 Lower Roswel Road, Marietta, GA 30068; or to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 500 NE 16 Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32601.
