USAF veteran, NWA/DL Capt. Gary Andrew Blevins
December 15, 1958 - September 15, 2017

Obituary..................Gary Andrew Blevins, Germantown TN

Gary Andrew Blevins died on Friday, September 15, 2017 from cancer. He was born to Thomas Blevins and Betty Houglum Blevins in Asheville, North Carolina on December 15, 1958. He graduated from the University of South Florida before going into the Air Force. During his military career, he flew C-130s throughout the USA and Europe. As a member of the flight crew for the New York Air Guard, Gary flew all over the world, including Antarctica. After leaving the Air Force Gary began his 25 year career as a pilot for Northwest Airlines and then Delta Airlines. He was an avid sportsman, loving husband, and wonderful father. Gary is survived by his Mother, sister, Linda (Dennis) Blevins Munday; his wife of 23 years, Anne Templet Blevins; his daughter, Renee Elizabeth Blevins; son, Benjamin Robert Blevins, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his father. A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 17 at Incarnation Catholic Church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a mass to follow.
