Sharing belated news which comes to us on the 2nd anniversary of Donna’s passing…..Donna Jean Smothers Jordan, wife of retired Delta Air Lines pilot Captain Russell William Jordan, passed in August of 2019.  Donna was 75 years of age at the time of her passing.  She is survived by her husband Russ Jordan, along with her children and grandchildren.

Daughter of of the late Richard K. Smothers (7/11/1913 - 2/3/1996) and Frances Eloise Lanham Smothers (4/12/1921 - 2/24/2008). She married Russell William Jordan on September 7, 1966 in Pensacola, FL. She graduated from University of Rhode Island with a degree in pharmacy in 1968. The couple moved to Georgia in 1970 where she was an active member of the community through her church, the schools, and her super secret PEO organization. She is survived by her husband, Russell; her three children, Kirsten Jordan Hampton (Heath) of Kathleen, GA, Nicole Jordan (David Large) of Fayetteville, GA, Danielle Jordan (William Hearn) of Douglasville, GA; her six grandchildren, Jordan Hampton, Kathleen Hampton, Joshua Hampton, Isabella Large, Caroline Large, Juliette Large; and her sisters Mary (Rhett) Farrior of Dadeville, AL and Lois Ann (Chris) McLean of Dothan, AL.

Mowell Funeral Home of Peachtree City, Georgia was entrusted with arrangements.
