Penny Banks Monk, wife of DL Capt. M. Gary Monk

Obituary: With regret, we announce the passing of Penny Monk, beloved wife of retired ATL-based Delta pilot, Captain Gary Monk, who surrendered to cancer on Sunday, August 1. We are humbled by the challenge of recognizing the wonderful wife, mother, sister, teacher, and friend that she was. Her warmth and strength will be missed by many. Please keep Gary and the children, Cathi, Liz, Jennifer, and Cullen as well as their spouses and the grandchildren in your thoughts and prayers. There will be a Celebration of Life followed by a reception Friday, August 27 at 1pm at Roswell United Methodist Church (814 Mimosa Boulevard, Roswell, GA 30075).

Word has reached our group with news of the passing of Mrs. Penny Monk, wife of retired Delta Air Lines pilot Captain Marcus Gary Monk.  Penny is survived by her husband Gary and their children.  Memorial services are to be held for Penny on Friday, August 27^th at 1 PM in the RUMC/Roswell United Methodist Church Chapel.

Inurnment will follow in the Garden of Love.  The family will receive friends in the RUMC Fellowship Hall after these services.   Roswell United Methodist Church is located at 814 Mimosa Blvd., Roswell, GA 30075.
