USAF veteran, DL Capt. Craig C. Fuller

February 14, 1936 ~ September 6, 2021

 


Notification with the passing of retired Delta pilot Captain Craig Cooper Fuller, age 85.  As noted in obituary below, Captain Fuller joined Delta Air Lines in 1964 and retired with Delta in 1986.  He is survived by his children and his grand- and great grandchildren.  Obituary information is available online at

Obituary : Craig Cooper Fuller, age 85, of Greencastle, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 6, 2021, at Wellspan Chambersburg Hospital. Born February 14, 1936, in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Walter M. and Blanche Cooper Fuller.

 

Craig was an avid aviation enthusiast throughout his lifetime, learning to fly at the age of 16 at the Greater Cumberland Municipal Airport. After servicing honorably in the U.S. Air Force, he attended The Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, where he graduated with an Aircraft Mechanics certification and obtained his commercial pilot’s license. In 1964, he pursued his aviation career as an airline pilot with Delta Airlines in Atlanta, GA, where he retired in 1986 as a Captain on the Boeing 767. In retirement, he continued his love of aviation by building and flying three experimental airplanes. Craig was a 40 year member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

 

Craig is survived by his four children, Lisa Chambers and husband, Bob, David Fuller and wife, Tracy, Walter Fuller, and Carl Fuller and wife, Michele; and their mother, Etta Fuller.; five grandchildren, Lindsey, Kristen, Olivia, Sophia , and Caleb; two great grandchildren; a sister, Diana Wolodkin and husband, Vern; and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Brandon, Donald, Dale, and Kent Fuller and one sister, Shirley Williams.

 

The family will hold a private memorial service.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Inc., Greencastle, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Disabled American Veteran’s , P.O.  Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-03
