As
noted in the Oct.-Nov. issue of The Air Line Pilot magazine’s In Memoriam
column….the passing of retired Northwest pilot Captain PERRY T. DOVE. I believe this to be Captain Perry Taylor Dove,
born in Missouri April 8, 1931. Captain
Dove joined Pacific Airlines 03-02-1960 and would have made the various mergers
retiring with Northwest Airlines. His
most recent address is listed in whitepages as 59 Whitecap St., Pismo Beach, CA
93449.
I
was unable to find an obituary online…..if anyone has more information, we
would appreciate hearing from you.

Carol, we were notified of Dove's passing by his niece. Our records show that he was originally hired as a pilot for Flying Tigers on 5/2/1955, probably going on to Pacific during one of the many furloughs during those years. His niece is sending us some Tiger memorabilia that the family apparently has. Contact me at president@flyingtigerline.org and I'll hook the two of you up if I can.
ReplyDeleteHe was my mothers uncle. He was from Hannibal Mo, a pilot in the service and later owned a private plane and lived in a suburb in CA known as an airplane community. He had 4 sisters one being my grandmother. Marjorie (Dove) Pepper.
