Captain Sullivan joined Delta Air Lines 07-17-1970.  He is survived by his wife Jacquelyn, and by his children and grandchildren.  For those who may wish to send a personal note, the family address is listed in whitepages as

Obituary : Daniel Joseph Sullivan, Jr. 79 years of age, passed away peacefully on May 3rd, 2022. He was born on August 26, 1942, and was the first of eight children to Daniel and Rita Sullivan of Bronx, New York. His siblings are John, Mary Sue, Tom, Jim, Ray, Jerry and Vinny.

 

Mr. Sullivan served his time honorably in the US Marine Corps from June 1964 to May 1970 as a Captain. Upon completion of his military obligation as a fighter pilot, he was hired by Delta Airlines and happily enjoyed a wonderful career as a pilot, in which he took great pride and retired at the age of 60. He enjoyed motorcycles and riding his Harley.

 

He attended Holy Rosary Grammar School, Regis High School and was a graduate of Fordham University in 1964 and married Jacquelyn Hendrickson the same year on July 25th. He was the proud father of Daniel Robert Sullivan and Kathleen Sullivan Pharr.

 

Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jacquelyn Sullivan; his son, Daniel ”Danny” Sullivan, Danny’s daughters, Stacie Sullivan Smith, Kayleigh Sullivan, Lauren Sullivan and Joy Sullivan; his daughter, Kathleen Sullivan Pharr (Glenn) and their sons, Steve and Justin Pharr.

 

It is with deepest regret that we have lost such a warm, loving and wonderful soul. He will be remembered in our hearts and prayers forever.

 

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00PM with a memorial service beginning at 4:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel. Private burial will be held at Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
