Obituary : Gerald Ernest Ramey, loving husband, father and grandfather, died July 25, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Francis Ramey, and his siblings Pete, Robert, Teresa and Patty. He was the grandfather of Cierra and Jared. Gerald was born on August 31, 1933 and enlisted in the Army reserve at the age of 17 where he was later assigned to the Army 82nd Airborne Division. After his discharge, his love for flying resulted in earning the rest of his flight ratings and a career as an airline pilot for the next 20 years. During that career he met his wife Carol and made her laugh for 58 years. During his retirement, Gerald refurbished 3 small airplanes and fished the Northwest Territories. He was meticulous, tidy and a funny man who valued his family, his friendships, and his schnauzers. Gerald’s kind nature and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
