PNA/WA/DL F/A Linda Pfister, widow of WA/DL Capt. Hank Pfister

~ IN MEMORY ~

PNA/WA/DL F/A Linda Pfister, widow of WA/DL Capt. Hank Pfister

FEBRUARY 28, 1943 – AUGUST 14, 2022

From friends and colleagues:

Flight attendant Linda Pfister died on Sunday, August 14 after a time of experiencing dementia and physical limitations.  Linda was born in 1943 and began her flying career with Pacific Northern Airlines.  When Western bought PNA and the flight attendant contracts were finally merged in the early 1970's, she was part of the SEA WAL base.  She continued flying (taking leaves for the births of her sons Ian and Bruce) all the way through the 70's and 80's--and transitioning with us all to Delta Airlines in 1987.  She married her second husband, pilot Hank Pfister, and continued to fly until Hank's retirement.  She worked Hank's final flight and at the end of it they taxied the plane in to the gate in SEA with the fire trucks creating a tunnel of water for them to taxi through.  She was in the cockpit waving out the window as they pulled into the gate.  She retired that day, too.

Linda and Hank were great friends to us all, and they will be missed.
