DL Capt.  Philip Lee Saffer Sr.

January 28, 1934 - November 12, 2022

 

This news just received ….the passing of Delta Golden Wings member retired Delta pilot Captain Philip Lee Saffer Sr., age 88.  Captain Saffer joined Delta Air Lines 07-09-1956.  He is survived by his wife Joyce “Jan”, and by his children and their families.

Obituary : Philip “Phil” Saffer, 88, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Saturday, November 12, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held in his honor on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the Mayes Ward-Dobbins Marietta Chapel with Rev. Buck Reese officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service starting at 5:00 p.m.

 

Phil is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Jan Saffer of Marietta, GA; three children, Philip Saffer, Jr. of Marietta, GA; Janna Saffer West and husband David of Powder Springs, GA; Bryan Saffer and wife Courtney of Kennesaw, GA; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
