Notice of passing…..retired Northwest Airlines pilot Captain Gary Clarence Thompson, age 86.  Captain Thompson joined Northwest Airlines 02-28-1966.  He is survived by his wife Joan, and by his children and their families.

Obituary :  Gary Clarence Thompson

Gary C. Thompson, Age 86, of Eden Prairie, Minnesota passed away, July 17, 2023. Preceded in death by his parents, brother Dennis, sister Carole and his infant son Jay. Gary served 4 years in the Navy and was a Captain for Northwest Airlines for 30 years, retired in 1996.

Survived by his loving wife, Joan; sons, Greg (Bobbi) Thompson, Steve (Kari) Thompson; daughter, Kris (Vark) Tadian; grandchildren, Samantha Therres (Dylan), Tanner Thompson, Jewel Weiss, Tyler, Baron, Tori, and Ella Thompson, Jack and Taylor Tadian. Funeral service Monday, July 31, 2 PM. Visitation 1 hour prior at Grace Church, 9301 Eden Prairie Rd. Eden Prairie MN. Live stream: grace.church/garythompson. Memorials preferred to Tyler Church or NWA History Museum.
