Warren Hurley Cheatham was born on February 13th, 1940, in Oklahoma City and as the beloved son of Donna Hurley and James Cheatham Jr. He peacefully departed this world on December 21st, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Warren was preceded in death by his son Dean Murdoch. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Cheatman "Howe", brother Jack Whatley, son James Murdoch, grandson Dean Murdoch, granddaughter Juliet Richdale, great granddaughters Nora and Abigail Richdale, stepson Erik Labuza, and step granddaughter Shannon Labuza.

Warren went to Smith Cotton High School, and then graduated from Oklahoma University. After completing his education, Warren dedicated five years of his life to serving his country in the United States Air Force as a pilot. Following his military service, Warren embarked on a distinguished career as a 747-commercial pilot, flying for Northwest Airlines for nearly 28 years.

His passion for aviation continued after his career as he found a way to enjoy flying and serving others through the Angel Flight Southeast program. His service showcased the selflessness and commitment to helping others by providing free air transportation to distant medical facilities. Through these acts, he saved numerous lives and was named the 2014, 2015, and 2016 Pilot of the Year by Angel Flight Southeast, flying over 100 missions by 2017. Additionally, Warren's generosity and selfless acts showed no limitations as he also flew missions for Pilots for Paws to help rescue endangered dogs.

Warren married the love of his life, Marilyn, May 15th, 1990, and together, they lived on their sailboat "Live Free" for 20 years and traveled the Caribbean.

Warren Hurley Cheatham will be remembered not only for his remarkable career achievements but also for the love and kindness he shared with his family, friends, and the community.

May he rest in peace, knowing that his impact on the world will endure through the stories and memories of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
