~  Dear Northwest Airline Friends, 

The Nelson family has announced there will be joint interment of David and
Holly Nelson at Tahoma National Cemetery at 1130 PST on Friday January 31,
2025. More information will follow.
 
The dates for interment of David and Holly Nelson has been changed by the
family to February 28th at 1130. The interment will be at Tahoma National
Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St., Kent, WA.

Dear NWA Friends and Colleagues,

 

It is my unpleasant duty to inform you that NWA Flight Attendant Holly

Nelson passed away at home in Burien, WA this past weekend. The cause of

death was 'natural causes.'

  

Holly was born Holly Elwell and grew to maturity in Minneapolis/St. Paul,

Minnesota. As a young woman Holly was known for her athletic skills. She

was hired by Northwest Airlines as a Flight Attendant and was based early in

her career at Minneapolis (MSP).

  

Holly married NWA captain David Nelson on December 31, 1977. Prior to the

wedding, Dave and Holly entered the Wine business and purchased a vineyard

in Sonoma, CA from the famed Korbel family growers.

  

David Nelson passed away on January 14, 2023.

Facebook posting from Dani Kelly:  At this time we do not have details of any planned services, but we suspect there may be some notice later and I’ll inform you at that time. We do know it was Holly’s wish to have her ashes buried along with those  of Dave’s at Tahoma National Cemetery.

Should you wish to send condolences to the family  along with fond memories of flying with Holly and Dave, they may be sent to Daves son. Rob and Debra Nelson.
