Lincoln Henry "Link" Weis Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 18th at the age of 83.  He is survived by his wife Diane, and by his sons and their families.  

Link joined Delta Air Lines 04-03-1967 and was based ATL/031.

Lincoln Henry "Link" Weis, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, in Fayetteville, Georgia, at the age of 83. Born on July 30, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Link lived a life full of adventure, love, and cherished memories.

 

Link proudly served in the United States Army, an experience that shaped his character and dedication, leading him to a fulfilling career as a pilot with Delta Air Lines. With every flight, he embodied the spirit of freedom and exploration. His passion for aviation was rivaled only by his love for the clear skies, which he often found mirrored on the lush fairways of his favorite golf courses.

 

A man of diverse interests, Link was never one to pass up a chance to spend quality time with his family, savoring every moment with his loved ones. Whether it was casting a fishing line into tranquil waters or lifting a perfectly chilled martini glass with a grin, he infused joy and warmth into every gathering. His legacy is built on the foundation of countless treasured moments with his devoted wife, Diane, and their children and grandchildren.

 

Link was preceded in death by his parents, Lincoln and Alma Weis, and his brother, Don Weis. He leaves behind a family who will forever hold his memory close: his loving wife, Diane, his sons, Lincoln Weis Jr. and Matt "Ted" Weis, and his grandchildren, Murphy and Sienna. Each carries forward a part of his indomitable spirit, compassion, and zest for life.

 

While we mourn the loss of this remarkable man, we also celebrate the vibrant life he lived. Link Weis touched the lives around him with a gentle strength and kindness that will continue to inspire us all in the days to come. In our hearts, he soars on endless blue skies.

 

In lieu of formal services, the family requests that those who wish to honor Link's memory take a moment to lift a glass to the sunrise, hit a golf ball into the horizon, or simply share a story with a loved one. For Link, every day was an opportunity to make a memory, and his would be that we all do the same.
