As a highly respected Captain and Instructor, Frank flew for Delta Air Lines for over 27 years………..

Frank Leonard Ellis joined Delta Air Lines 2-24-2000 and was based Atlanta.  Frank is survived by his wife Michelle, and by his daughter Aubrey.

Frank Ellis Obituary

Frank Leonard Ellis, 57, of Sharpsburg, Georgia, passed away on September 22, 2026.
Frank was born on January 9, 1969, in College Park, Georgia, to Dr. Donald Eugene Ellis and Mrs. Shirley Willbanks Ellis. He was raised in College Park, where he spent his formative years before going on to build a life defined by service and dedication.
Frank was a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business. He had a passion and love for aviation. As a highly respected Captain and Instructor, Frank flew for Delta Air Lines for over 27 years. He served his country with honor and distinction as a member of the United States Air Force Reserve for 21 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Frank is survived by his wife, Michelle Ellis; his daughter, Aubrey Ellis; his stepmother, Nancy Ellis; his stepsister, Terri Nardslico; his sister, Ann Hulsey; his aunt, Beverly Langford; and several loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Garrett Ellis; his father, Donald Ellis; his mother, Shirley Ellis; and his sister, Donna Gibbs.
