WA/DL Capt. William John Donnelly III

January 25, 1936 ~ July 16, 2015

Word has been received with the passing of retired WA/DL pilot Captain W. John Donnelly, age 79.  Captain Donnelly joined Western Airlines 05-26-1969 and I believe he was based 030/DFW at the time of his retirement with Delta Air Lines.

I am very sorry to have this sad news to pass on:  WAL/DAL Capt and ALPA workhorse John Donnelly passed away early this morning (Thursday, 7 - 16 - 2015) peacefully in his sleep.  I spoke with his wife, Cindy, and she is somewhat overwhelmed by all that needs to be done, so I would not recommend phone calls.  Her address is:
