From friends and colleagues, we learn of the
passing of retired Delta Air Lines pilot Captain Wilbur “Larry” Whitesell, age
86. Larry joined Delta Air Lines
09-04-1962 and retired with Delta December 1996, and was based PDX at time of
retirement. (Captain/Line Check Airman/Instructor MD-11, L-1011, B-727, B-757,
B-767 & DC-8, Capt./Copilot or Flight Engineer Dc-3, C-46, DC-6, DC-7,
DC-9, CV-340, CV-440, CV-880, CV-990, B-727)

Captain Whitesell had most recently resided in
