Frank Woods Perrin, age 95, of New Port Richey, Florida passed away on May 17, 2019.  Born/raised in Pennsylvania and following his military service, Frank joined Northwest Airlines 02-09-1953.

..we learn that Capt. Perrin was widowed in March 2009 with the passing of his wife Audrey. From Audrey’s obit we learn that the Perrins are survived by a daughter Barbara and two sons, Randy & Bruce.

Obituary for Dennis L. Koehn

Dennis L. Koehn was born January 29th, 1946 in Carnegie Oklahoma to Lloyd and Rosetta Unruh Koehn. He attended elementary and high school in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and received his commission from the Air Force ROTC program in 1968. Dennis then realized his dream of flying by earning his wings at Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma in March 1969. He completed two tours in South East Asia in the F-4, flying a total of 450 missions. He was then assigned to fly the F-5 at Williams AFB in Arizona from 1972 to 1979. While there he was an instructor pilot for students from around the world. He trained pilots from Iran, South Vietnam, Taiwan, Brazil, Jordan, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and others. In 1979 Dennis transferred to Nellis AFB in Nevada where he worked primarily with test programs. In 1983 he was assigned to Myrtle Beach AFB, South Carolina to fly the A-10. During that time he participated in Red Flag exercises where he excelled. His military decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters, Meritorious Service Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal with 34 Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Air Force Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster.

Dennis retired from the Air Force in 1988 and began his second career flying with Northwest Airlines, first in the Boeing 727, then in the DC-10, and he retired as a captain on the Airbus A320 in January 2006. During this time he flew to Amsterdam, London, Paris, Mumbai, Beijing, and many other international destinations.

After his second retirement Dennis took a course from H&R block with the intention of being a tax consultant but decided he would find it more rewarding to volunteer with AARP Tax Preparers. He found working with this organization tremendously satisfying and made dear friends. Dennis also joined the Pinellas Pilots Association to feed his passion for flying. Again, he made many friends. Dennis used his access to a PPA Cessna to get involved with Young Eagles which offers free flights to area children who might not have an opportunity otherwise. He loved their excitement and enthusiasm. He also was an elections clerk for Pinellas County until an illness in 2014 left him unable to continue. Volunteering with Special Olympics volleyball for several years was another of his joys.

Dennis met his wife, Judith in Arizona between South East Asian tours in 1971.They were married a year later. They welcomed Deborah to the family while he was stationed at Williams AFB in 1976. Jeffrey joined them in 1980 while they lived in Nevada.

Dennis is predeceased by his parents and his brother, Kenneth. He’s survived by his wife of 46 years, Judith, daughter Deborah of Tarpon Springs and son Jeffrey of Pinellas Park, his sister Marita Gortney and nephew Rick Gortney and his wife Shaun of Oklahoma.

Dennis passed away Tuesday March 19th. There will be a celebration of Dennis’s life at Moss Feaster Funeral Home in Dunedin on April 13th from 12:00 to 2:00. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations in his memory be made to Oklahoma State University or the charity of your choice.

The recent death of Bill Critch in Burien, Washington USA, was the final chapter in the lives of two very different characters who forged their way in life and made a difference in the lives of many.

Although his family had notched up three generations in Australia, after immigrating in the 1800s as gold miners, William Henry (Bill) Critch was born in Alameda, California in 1934. In 1948, orphaned and barely a teenager, Bill was shipped to Boggabri, and placed in the care of his unmarried sister, who married shortly after and moved away. Cut loose from adult supervision at the age of 15, Bill Critch was taken under the wings of two families in Gunnedah - the Cleggs and John and Violet Jones.

After completing his education at Riverview College in Sydney, Bill Critch returned to the United States in 1955, but always stayed in close contact with his mate in Gunnedah.

In 1958 Bill Critch was commissioned as a pilot in the USAF. Shortly afterward, he married Marlene Prosser - the love of his life and affectionately known as Bunny. Together they raised two daughters - Tammy and Sheila - and Bill's life revolved around his "girls".

Leaving the service, he became an airline pilot until grounded by heart disease. After graduating from the University of Puget Sound, he worked at the Boeing Commercial Airplane Company for 20 years, where his desk always boasted a large jar of Vegemite.

In his later years Bill enjoyed his home in Burien Town Square, city life and flying his XPlane simulator. He loved being with his family and stayed in touch with the community through Gunnedah Memories on Facebook - but longed to visit Australia one more time.

William Henry Critch is survived by his wife Marlene (Bunny) of Burien, and two daughters, Tamara (George) Wilson and Sheila (Hans) Leitzinger.

The family relocated to Homestead FL in 1949 where she was raised and lived until moving to New Hampshire in 1996 and then back to Florida in Palm Coast in 2002. Her mother often said she was a perfect child. She attended Redland Elementary School and South Dade High School graduating with honors in 1964. Her professional life took off when she was hired by National Airlines as a Flight Attendant in 1967. She excelled at her profession. She was highly regarded by her fellow crewmembers for the high standard she set. Her life and that of many others was altered by a tragic accident. On November 23, 1973 Linda was a Flight Attendant on a DC-10 that experienced an uncontained engine failure resulting in an explosive decompression of the aircraft and the loss of a passenger’s life. Her courageous actions during the emergency saved the life of a fellow Flight Attendant on the crew. Because of her heroic deed, she was awarded the Association of Flight Attendants Medal of Heroism by the Administrator of the FAA. She was the only living recipient of the award at the time. The Flight Safety Foundation Heroism Award was also bestowed upon her citing her bravery and attention to duty. Linda met her future husband Steve, a National Airlines Flight Engineer, while flying and they married in 1980, the same year that National merged with Pan American World Airways. She flew for Pan Am until 1986 when she retired. Her next accomplishment was an Associate of Arts degree from Daytona Beach Community College where she never failed to make the Dean’s list. She remained very active in the National Airlines Flight Crew retiree group, the National Airlines Buccaneers. Her hobbies included gardening, especially her orchids, writing an occasional short story and she thoroughly enjoyed gifting to friends, relatives, charities, and most of all children. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Linda to the American Lung Association. Due to the COVID 19 restrictions, a Celebration of Life will be held at a date yet to be determined. Many are blessed to have had a best friend who could be depended upon without question. Linda passed away having three: Phyllis Douthit of Valdosta, GA Sue Ward of Palm Coast, FL and her loving husband Steve Mills of Palm Coast, FL. We all three will miss her dreadfully for the rest of our days.

Notification with the passing of retired Western/Delta pilot Captain Bryan Kyle Grammer, age 78.  Captain Grammer joined

Western Airlines 06-06-1972 and retired with Delta Air Lines, based LAX/030.  He is survived by his children and grandchildren plus many other extended family members.

Obituary………. Bryan Kyle Grammer

Bryan Kyle Grammer was born to Jesse and Eva Grammer in Pecos, TX. As a child in West Texas he accompanied his father on cattle drives; sleeping on his saddle for a pillow at night and eating meals from a chuck box.

He graduated from Texas A&M and then joined the Navy to serve two tours of duty in Vietnam as a P-3 Orion pilot.

Bryan then flew as a commercial pilot for American, Western, and Delta airlines. He retired as a Delta Captain flying routes to Asia and Europe. In retirement, Bryan had a passion for golf, skiing, travel, spending time with family, and enjoying the company of his many friends.

He was the proud and devoted father to Matthew Grammer, Kyle Grammer (Alisa) and Lori Gambino (Nicholas). He was beloved by his grandchildren: Bryndan, Layla, Antonio, Finn, and Giovanni.

Bryan will also be missed by his sister-in-law, Diane Grammer and his nephews, Kelly Grammer (DeeDee) and Kevin Grammer (Carla) and their families.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister Frankie, and brother Jesse Charles.

Bryan was man of kindness, generosity, and good humor. He will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
