USAF veteran, DL Capt. Duncan Lee Powers

July 23, 1935 ~ November 6, 2021

 

…..belated notice with the passing of Delta pilot Captain Duncan Lee Powers, age 86.  Captain Powers joined Delta Air Lines 09-04-1962 and was based Atlanta. He is survived by his wife Mary, and by his children and grand- and greatgrandchildren.

Obituary :  Duncan Lee Powers, 86, died Saturday, November 6, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Fairmont, West Virginia and was an airline pilot with Delta Airlines for thirty years. He was a member of Christian Motorcycle Association and Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Allsboro, AL. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

 

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS assisted the family.

 

He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years – Mary Lee Powers; two children – Alisa Joseph (Bill) and Beverly Henson; five grandchildren – Stephane Dow, Stephen Dow (Sara), Michael Dow, Jeremy Conley and Danielle Henson; six great-grandchildren; one sister – Joyce McVicker and one brother – Michael Powers (Linda).

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ester Brown Powers and a grandson, Russell Henson.
