Word has been received of the passing of WWII Army Air Corps veteran and retired Western pilot Captain Robert Lee Butler, age 90.  Bob was a highly respected pilot, MEC Chairman for Western’s pilots during the late ‘60s, and good friend to many.

Robert Lee Butler, 90, of Waikiki, a Western Airlines captain, died at home. He was born in Middletown, Ohio. He is survived by wife Antonie “Toni,” son Phil, daughters Gayla Elliot and Cindy Lembke, stepson Mark Pfister and stepdaughter Kay Shearer. Celebration of life: 3 p.m. Friday at Waikiki Elks Club. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
