DL Capt. Russell E. Blue

WWII veteran, DL Capt. Russell Erwin Blue
January 23, 1922 ~ July 25, 2013
 

Notification of the passing of WWII veteran and retired DL pilot Captain Russell Erwin Blue, age 91.  Captain Blue hired on with Delta Air Lines 12-27-1950 and retired at the mandatory age 60 in 1982.  He was based Miami and later DFW at the time of his retirement.  Captain Blue was widowed in October 2002 with the passing of his wife Muriel Ann Blue. 
I believe he had most recently resided at 1620 Mayflower Ct., Rm 246 , Winter Park  FL 32792-2525.

Obituary:
Russell Erwin Blue
Russell Erwin Blue, age 91, of Oviedo, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013.  He was born January 23, 1922 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a WWII veteran in the Army Air Corps and was a pilot for Delta Airlines for 32 years.
He is survived by his son, Dave Blue of Geneva; son, Tom Blue (Effie) of Satellite Beach; son, Greg Blue (Ludgard) of Victoria, British Columbia; son-in-law, Ron Bobbie (Frances) of Raleigh, N.C.; and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Muriel; daughter, Joann Bobbie; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Blue.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10AM Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 526 N. Park Ave., Winter Park. Interment will follow at All Faith's Memorial park in Casselberry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Comforter.
