___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

RIMOLDI, ROBERT L. 08/09/1935 - 07/07/2014
A retired Delta Airlines Captain, Bob was a resident of South Florida since the late 1960's. Before becoming a Captain with Delta, Bob earned a Bachlor's degree in education from The University of Miami and served in the Air Force. Bob had a great love for animals and spent much of his time caring for them. Over the last 20 years, Bob not only rescued, but spayed and neutered over hundreds of cats and dogs. He found many of good homes for those he rescued. His large property allowed him to tame wild cats that he rescued so that they might also be adopted. His second love was his property, which hosted an abundance of mango and avocado trees, in which he shared graciously with everyone he knew. He is survived by nephew Danny Edwards of Miami and with cousin Harvey Minton, wife Jane of Ohio.
