Belated notification....this is an ALPA
reported death that we had not previously been made aware of. The ALPA issue
month shows when the death was reported.
Below is what information I could find for
WWII and Korean war veteran (NWA) pilot Capt. Arthur Leroy Snyder. From what I
can find I think Captain Snyder may have joined North Central Airlines and
retired with Republic Airlines before they merged with Northwest.
If anyone has more information please let us
know.

Obituary............................
Arthur L. Snyder of Port Richey, FL passed away Wednesday, February 12,
2014 at the age of 89. Arthur was born in Huntington, IN to the late Arthur and
Wilda Snyder.
Arthur proudly protected our country, serving in the airforce during both
WWII and the Korean War and later retiring from the Ohio National Guard. Arthur
then worked as a commercial airline pilot from which he retired in 1985.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, whom he married in 1944;
his son, Patrick; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Arthur is preceded
in death by 2 sons, Timothy and Thomas; his daughter, Ann; and his sister,
Dorotha Merman.
In lieu of flowers donations to hospice would be greatly appreciated.
