Notification with the passing of NC/RC/NWA retired pilot Captain Ronald Frank Danek, age 75.  Captain Danek joined North Central Airlines 04-11-1966 and medically retired with Northwest Airlines.  Survived by his wife Sherry personal condolences may be sent to the family at

Private services for Captain Danek were held December 17th in Traverse City, Michigan.

Obituary ........................
Ronald F. Danek, 75, passed away December 14, 2014, at Cherryhill Haven after a courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease. Ron was born in Chicago on February 27, 1939 to the late John and Mary Danek. Ron is survived by his wife, Sherry, his sons, John of Westland, MI and James of Traverse City, MI, granddaughters, Tara and Debi, sister, Dorothy Sekanina, niece, Gayle Martin, and great nephew, Christopher Martin of Wellston, MI.
Ron was hired as a pilot for North Central Airlines in 1966. After several mergers, he medically retired as a Northwest Airlines 757 Captain. After his retirement, Ron still enjoyed flying his Swift aircraft, and he also built a replica of a 1929 motor launch watercraft and a ¾ scale P-51 airplane.
A private family memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Reynolds Jonkhoff Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions in memory of Ron may be directed to Hospice of Michigan or HDSA (Huntington’s Disease Society of America).

The family is being served by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
