___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

Hi Dick, in an effort to get the most up to date on Bill's progress, I thought you may want to pass along Mary's phone (Bill's current wife) to fellow pilots  ( 951-304-3037 ).Again ,thanks so much for all you do for us, it is very much appreciated, Leo
Subject: Well wishes for Bill Bird
Leo, Mary Bird said she appreciates the interest & support from Bill's fellow pilots but she has learned that several calls have gone to Bill's ex-wife.  Anyone who wants to inquire or leave messages should contact Mary at her home:   951-304-3037.

As of today, 7/20.  Bill has made very little progress since entering the hospital just over a month ago tho some days are slightly better than others.  He is essentially unconscious & unresponsive most of the time.

Would be great if you could forward Mary's request to Dick Deeds & thx for your continued interest.

Bill
