~ IN MEMORY ~
WA/DL retiree Frank Lynn Faulkner
January 13, 1937 ~ July 4, 2015
Yesterday my husband Frank lost his battle to lung cancer. For the years we were lucky enough to have together, I am eternally grateful.
Frank was born on the Ft. Hall Indian reservation in Idaho. His momma said Frank was always a happy baby and his parents raised him up to be a tough ol' hard working ranch kid with common-sense smarts. Frank was proud of his heritage and his down-to-earth roots, he was a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none and I-can-do-it-myself kind of guy. By age five Frank was already wearing his aviator's cap. He hired on with Western Airlines in Idaho 07-21-1958, also worked in HNL and retired 04-01-2001 in PHX with Delta Air Lines. Maybe you didn't know that Frank had his private pilot's license, played football and the saxaphone in high school, was on the roping team during his Montana State college days, had beautiful hand writing, enjoyed gardening/photography/cooking, took me square dancing and picked me flowers out of our backyard. He was a man of very few words but his actions spoke volumes. Frank would say "I'm an open book" (albeit sometimes those pages had to be pried open!), and he always enjoyed a good visit over a cup of coffee (known to slip Jack Daniels into his morning brew!).
Frank is survived by a wonderful family ... siblings, children, grand- & great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews .... survived also by a plithera of loyal true-blue friends ... and by me his wife who he spoiled terribly.
As were Frank's wishes, there will be no local services.
Inurnment will be at a later date in Idaho.
Thank you for your friendship, love and support...it has meant a lot to both of us.
