___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

Peggy Hancock's obituary...............................................
 http://www.asturner.com/obituary/Peggy-Futral-Hancock/Snellville-GA/1540209
Peggy Futral Hancock, 76, of Stone Mountain, Georgia and Naples, Florida, passed peacefully on August, 29th, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.  Peggy was born in Savannah, Georgia on February 24, 1939, and grew up across the street from Forsyth Park. She learned to roller-skate and to ride her sister's bike around the fountain there. She was a graduate of Commercial High School. Peggy met Lt. Murall Hancock, the love of her life, while he was stationed at Hunter Air Force Base as a pilot. They married and, after starting their family while in the U.S. Air Force, settled in Stone Mountain once Murall became a pilot for Delta Airlines. Peggy was a long time member of the Morning Glories Garden Club. She and Murall have been members of the Christian Friendship class at First United Methodist Church of Tucker for more than four decades. As a stay at home mom, Peggy provided wonderful meals, carpool rides, kisses and band-aids on scraped knees, and many packed picnic baskets for family outings. She instilled a love for nature in all of her children by never missing an opportunity to point out a beautiful sunset, fluffy clouds on a summer day, or the moon and stars in the night sky. For all of those things, we will forever be grateful. Peggy is survived by Murall, her devoted husband of 58 years, and their four children, Chris, Chuck (Tamara), Robin, and David (Maria); grandchildren, Courtney (Kris), Amelia (Will), Eilis, Lydia, Katherine, Neil, Emory, Nathan, Eric, Sam, Charlotte, and Sophia; and great grandchild, Jolene. Surviving also are siblings, Sam Futral, Jane Dooley, and John Futral, and numerous nieces and nephews. "Our last kiss shall be as sweet as our first, and my heart full of your love will rest next to yours in God's arms. And we will watch God's starry sky forever - together." ~ Murall Hancock. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Tucker, 5095 LaVista Road, Tucker, Georgia, 30084, on Tuesday, September 1st at 2:00 p.m. in the main sanctuary, officiated by Rev. Dr. Jim Higgins, with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The United Methodist Children's Home, 500 S. Columbia Drive, Decatur, 30030, 404-327-5820 in her memory.
