Notification with the passing of Delta pilot Captain Troy Beatty, age 76.  Captain Beatty joined Delta Air Lines 09-12-1969 and retired in 1999, based 031/ATL.  He is survived by his wife Debra Arnette Beatty.

Troy Beatty, III
son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Troy Beatty, Jr. of Memphis, TN died November 19, 2015 at age 76 in Auburn, Alabama after a long illness. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech and entered the Navy as an Ensign upon graduation. He resigned as Lieutenant Commander after 8 years. He then flew for Delta Airlines and retired as Captain in 1999. He was a volunteer Firefighter for the Little Texas Fire Department. He leaves his wife Debra Arnette Beatty, a sister Tina McWhorter of Memphis, TN, a sister Anita Beatty of Auburn, AL and a nephew Eric (Kristen) Price of San Francisco. His funeral will be at Auburn United Methodist Church on November 22, 2015.  Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home Opelika, AL has charge. Memorials may be made to Auburn United Methodist Church, 137 S. Gay St. Auburn, Al 36830.
