Notification with the passing of Pan Am/Delta pilot Captain James Hansi White, age 81.  Captain White joined Pan American Airways 07-23-1964 and retired with Delta Air Lines in 1995.  He is survived by his wife Laila Wallner White.  Whitepages notes their residence as

James Hansi White, born in 1935 of Stuart, Florida passed away on Valentines Day, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Laila (Wallner) White, from Gavle, Sweden and daughters Kristina Phillips (Andrew) of Ridgewood, NJ and Stephanie Meyer (John) of Winnetka, IL. Survivors also include Joelle Normand and Claudette Brown and their children, and his sister Francis Eisenbrandt. He leaves behind his grandchildren who will never forget their beloved "Morfar".
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Zankeisen of Basel, Switzerland and James Francis White of Baltimore MD, and his brother Frank White of Vero Beach, FL.
 
Originally from Baltimore, he attended St. Paul's School and played lacrosse for John's Hopkins University. He served as a Lieutenant in the Navy, a stockbroker with Merrill Lynch, and was a Captain with Pan American Airways, and Delta Airlines for over 30 years.
 
A member of the Yacht and Country Club of Stuart, he served as Commodore of the Yacht Club. He also enjoyed a spirited game of tennis. In addition to his family, his passion was traveling the world. He was the most happy when out on his boat fishing and diving for lobsters in the Bahamas. His favorite saying was "Just another day in Paradise", usually with a sparkle in his blue eyes.
 
His remains will rest at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC. Donations can be made in his honor to the Disabled Warrior Program for Veterans (boec.org)
