Whitney A. Coulon, Jr. passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the age of 94. He was a wonderful brother, father, grandfather and great grandfather who was generous, kind and loving to his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and to the end of his days could make people smile, which was one of his gifts to the world. He is survived by his son, Whitney A. Coulon, III; his grandchildren, Whitney "Chip" A. Coulon, IV, Sean-Paul Coulon, Zane Coulon, Olivia Coulon, Sophia Coulon, and Rhett Coulon; seven great grandchildren, Whitney "Quinten" A. Coulon V, Ethan Coulon, Connelly Coulon, Liam Coulon, Isabelle Coulon, Teagan Coulon, and Sean-Luc Coulon; his brother, Melvin Coulon; and his sister, Marion Woniger. Whitney graduated from Berman High School at 15 and attended LSU where he graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1941. He played trumpet for the LSU Fighting Tiger Band while at LSU.
