The family of Captain Glenn Frank Drover
has advised us of his passing. Captain Drover was nearing his 80th year. He
joined Delta Air Lines 12-18-1961 and retired with Delta in 1996, and was based
031/ATL at the time of his retirement. Captain Drover was widowed just 11
months ago with the passing of his wife Kathleen. He is survived by his
children and grandchildren.

Glenn F. Drover, Sr., age 79, a resident
of McCormick, SC, formerly of Riverside and Downers Grove, IL, passed away
unexpectedly on Saturday, April 2, 2016. He was born April 11, 1936, in Chicago,
IL.
Glenn is survived by five loving
children, Margaret Mary "Maggie" (Robert) Schmidt of Joliet, IL, Glenn, Jr.
(Christine) Drover of Plainfield, Joseph (Kelly)Drover of Plainfield, Tim
(Taina) Drover of Chicago and Kathleen "Kati" (Joseph) Herron of Naperville; his
adored grandchildren, Elizabeth (Stanley Craven) Sarabia, Amy (Michael) Ehm,
Joseph (Meghan) Cegielski, Kaitlyn (Jeffrey) Fischer and Connor Schmidt; Jack,
Emma and Ethan Drover; AJ, Shane and Natalie Drover; Diego Drover; Payton and
Kendall Samuel; seven great-grandchildren, Hayley, Joseph, Tyler, Maddox,
Dalton, Maddison and Tavin; in-laws, Mary Ann (Merle) Nicks of Homewood, IL and
Bill (Janet) Fitzgibbon of Roanoke, VA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife,
Kathleen Drover (nee Fitzgibbon), whom he married January 10, 1959, and who
preceded him in death on May 1, 2015. Also by his parents, Joseph H. and Bessie
Drover.
Glenn grew up in Riverside, IL, was a
graduate of Riverside-Brookfield High School (Class of 1954) and attended the
University of Illinois at Chicago. Glenn served in the U.S. Air National Guard
and went on to work as a pilot for Butler Aviation at Midway Airport in Chicago
and, later, for 35 years with Delta Airlines, retiring as a
Captain.
Glenn enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting
and golfing and was a former member of Naperville Country Club. He was a former
member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Downers Grove and was currently a member
of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in McCormick, SC.
Visitation Thursday, April 7, 2016, from
4:00 to 9:00 PM at Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S.
Joliet Rd., Plainfield, IL. Services will begin Friday, April 8, 10:30 AM from
the funeral home and will proceed to an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St.
Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield. Interment:
Private.

My Father was a Captain for Delta Airlines for 35 years, I
thought I should notify you that he passed away this past
Saturday.
We are so very sad that he has passed but so proud of the
Father we were blessed with.

Kathleen Drover (nee Fitzgibbon), age 78,
a resident of McCormick, SC, formerly of Downers Grove, IL, passed on Friday,
May 1, 2015. She was born January 7, 1938, in Chicago, IL. Kathleen is survived
by her beloved husband, Glenn F. Drover, whom she married January 10, 1959; five
loving children, Margaret Mary "Maggie" (Robert) Schmidt of Joliet, IL, Glenn,
Jr. (Christine) Drover of Plainfield, Joseph (Kelly)Drover of Plainfield, Tim
(Taina) Drover of Chicago and Kathleen "Kati" (Joseph) Herron of Naperville; her

Fitzgibbon. Kathleen grew up in Riverside, IL, was a 1956 graduate of Nazareth
High School in LaGrange, IL and attended DePaul University in Chicago. A loving
homemaker, Kathleen was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Downers
Grove and was currently a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in McCormick,
SC. Kathleen's greatest joy was spending time with her
family........................
