Roger Harry Miller, 78, passed away April 19, 2016. Born in Minnesota, Roger was an esteemed captain who retired with 30 years of service with Northwest Airlines. He qualified for The Wright Brothers' Award and was a member of both Quiet Birdmen and Al Chymia Temple. Roger possessed impeccable skills as a pilot and mechanic (a.k.a., Sam Smith). He will be forever remembered for his love and restoration of antique aircraft and cars, his affinity for pranks, his dry sense of humor, making others laugh, for being a great neighbor and for his love of scotch. Remembrance will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home (5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis TN 38119) 3pm to 5pm, Saturday, April 23, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Roger's favorite charities: Shriners' Children's Hospital or the Humane Society of America
