Notification with the passing of Delta pilot Captain Jan T. Jonas, age 59.  Captain Jonas joined Northwest Airlines 01-09-1987 and retired with Delta Air Lines as noted in his obituary.  He is survived by his wife Ann Weiss-Jonas.

JONAS, Jan Thomas
of Waterford; September 29, 2016; age 59; husband of Ann Weiss-Jonas; step-father of Amanda, Gretchen, and Zachary Weiss; preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Patricia; son-in-law of Lorna (late David) Bickerstaff; brother of Tim (Lisa) Jonas and Stephanie (Tim) Sullivan; brother-in-law of Kevin (Lisa) Bickerstaff. Jan served in the U.S. Marines as Top Gun and was a pilot for Delta Airlines for 28 years. He will be remembered for his thoughtfulness and generosity. Cemetery Service with Military Honors Thursday 11:30 a.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Arrangements entrusted to Lewis E. Wint and Son, Clarkston.
