After listening to Mike read the obituaries of fellow pilots
that both of us knew, I never thought I'd be posting one for him. Capt. Mike
Gaylord, 4/3/67-8/19/95 passed away peacefully on 1/12/17 at home in the care of
hospice. His life went briefly after a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer on
12/15/16. Mike was of the generation of pilots who not only felt lucky but,
fortunate to be hired by Delta Airlines. He was always proud to wear the
uniform, sad when he had to retire. He considered all of you brothers of the
fraternity and so it be.
There will be no services held except a Mass in the spring in
upstate N.Y. I know he would like to thank all of you who were part of his 28
yr. career. God Bless
