Obituary...............
Jeffrey James "Jeff" Cox, 60, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, at his home in Midlothian. Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday, March 16, at Midlothian First Baptist Church, 1651 S. Midlothian Parkway, Midlothian. Visitation: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to cancer research or Mission Arlington. Jeff was born to James W. and Gloria Sue Stallings Cox on Aug. 27, 1956, in Evansville, Ind. After high school graduation, Jeff studied electrical engineering at Auburn University, earning a bachelor's degree. He then served in the U.S. Navy for six years as a naval aviator then moved to Texas and was a flight crew captain with Delta Air Lines for five and a half years. Jeff later worked for Lockheed Martin as a systems engineer. He served in his church, First Baptist Midlothian. In his younger years he was an Eagle Scout. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, James W. Cox Survivors: Mother, Gloria Cox; daughters, Kaylee and Katherine Cox and their mother, Tammy Cox; brother, Craig Cox and wife, Carrie, and sons, Connor and Carson; sister, Devona Shreve and husband, Mike, and their son, Brandon; and his favorite aunt, Carol Wildt.
