___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

It is with great sadness I report the death of my neighbor and dear friend, Captain Tony Borra.  He passed away 2 days ago while hiking with his wife Joy.  Tony, an Air Force pilot, was hired by Delta in 1973 and ATL based his entire career.  He was active in ALPA work and an early CRM instructor. In 1995 a serious heart attack ended his Delta flying days.  After recovering from the heart attack he lived a vigorous, productive life for the next 22 years.  A skilled craftsman and artist, he was always creating or improving something around his unique home.  His wife, Joy Borra has created 2 attachments below with details of the visitation and memorial service.

This is going to many many people, so please forgive its impersonal-ness….  It has been a very very busy day.
As you can imagine, my children and grandchildren and I are very very sad at this moment….
It’s hard to imagine life without Antonio.  But since we have no choice, we will go on…
The “flyer” has the details you need to attend any of the opportunities to gather and celebrate Antonio’s life.  If you need to talk, someone will be here to answer the land line, for sure!
Love to you all!!!!
        Joy
Ps. Feel free to forward to anyone else whom you think needs to see this….
