___ PCN FLIGHT WEST is sponsored by the Pilot Communication Network and is a service of the PCN provided for the Delta Pilot Retired family of pilot groups. Flight West was started and is maintained to accomplish two main goals. After we become aware of a colleague who has Flown West, 1. We aim to produce a “timely” notice sent to our community that allows for support and interaction from our group toward the grieving family of our friend and colleague. 2. Then, we aim to “archive” that notice on our Flown West Blogspot as a lasting accessible place of Dignity and Honor of our colleague for family legacy and posterity. Contributor contact info is generally removed before posting (unless requested otherwise).

OBITUARY....................
Constance Mary (Domin) Nevadomski
Constance “Connie” Mary Nevadomski passed away peacefully at her home while in hospice care on February 26, 2018. She was surrounded by love, warmth and peace. She is survived by five of her eight children: Laura Abate (Frank) [Chicago], Michael Nevadomski (Charlene) [Coral Springs], Stacie Berdan (Mike) [Glastonbury, CT], Matthew Nevadomski [Coral Springs], and Ellen Nevadomski [Margate]; 12 grandchildren who called her “Bopshee” Michael (Melissa), Adam (Laura), Marina, Morgan, Amanda, Drew, Mackenzie, Andrea, Parker, Mason, Connie and Betty; and one great grandson, Gabriel Jacob, who was born to Michael and Melissa one week before she passed and whom she met via FaceTime; and a sister, Clara Victoria McGrath [Hazleton, PA].

She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew John Nevadomski, and three children, Andrew John Nevadomski, Jr., Nadine Nevadomski Dickerson and Amy Kathryn Nevadomski.

Born July 7, 1932, in West Hazleton, PA, she was the youngest daughter of Michael Jacob Domin and Mary Juda Domin, Polish immigrants who came to this country in the early 1900s. Her father was a coal miner, her mother a homemaker determined to help her children have a better life. Connie spoke Polish in the home before she learned English in school. She was the youngest of six children and the first in her family to attend college. She graduated from Immaculata College in 1955 with a degree in Biology and began doing research at Lederle Labs in NY. She married her hometown sweetheart, Andy, on April 14, 1956. His career as a pilot for Delta Airlines took them to Pearl River, NY, Houston, and then South Florida, where they settled in Coral Springs in 1972.

Connie was first and foremost a mother, loving her children and grandchildren immensely and selflessly. She took tremendous pride and joy in providing a comfortable home where the food was always delicious and plentiful; she passed her culinary skills and traditional dishes on to her family. She was an excellent seamstress who made most of her children’s clothes; she was particularly adept at prom dresses and Halloween costumes. She had a beautiful smile and was a sweet and caring woman who was loved by all who met her. Connie loved to travel and explored a good deal of the world, first with her husband, then her children.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 6, at 10 am at St. Andrew Church, 9950 NW 29th Street, Coral Springs. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in her name be made to Catholic Hospice for Home Health Services Broward.
